A 51-year-old man has died following a multi-vehicle crash in the Monaro region today.
Police say that at around 12.15pm, emergency services were called to the Kings Highway, near Goulburn Road, Mulloon, after reports of a crash.
“Upon arrival, officers from Monaro Police District found a Mazda sedan and a heavy vehicle had impacted, before the sedan and an Audi SUV collided head-on,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“The driver and sole occupant of the sedan – a man aged 51 – died at the scene.
“The male driver of the heavy vehicle was not injured, while the male driver of the SUV – and his female front seat passenger – sustained minor injuries. A child in the back seat was not injured.”
The Kings Highway East of Bungendore is closed, and diversions are in place at Bungendore township and Goulburn Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
