The big day has arrived at Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club with the start of work on a significant upgrade for the popular facility getting underway today.
Member for Coffs Harbour, Gurmesh Singh joined with racing club and community members to turn the first sod on this impressive redevelopment, which will provide more modern, inclusive and accessible facilities.
“Just over 12 months ago we were here to celebrate $2.165 million in NSW Liberals and Nationals Government funding for Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club’s exciting project,” Mr Singh said.
“Today, it’s all systems go for this major revamp which will deliver much-anticipated improvements including a grid cover, track extension and resurface, and a pit area upgrade.

“These important works also include accessible amenities, showers, toilets and changerooms, an upgraded canteen, a new training/function room, a new office/stewards’ room and a viewing deck, all in a new two-storey building.
“I know Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club’s committee and members work extremely hard to provide first class facilities for local and visiting motorsport competitors and fans. They deserve the enormous benefits which will flow to their club, and their sport, from these
welcome improvements.”
The club’s funding was allocated in 2022 under the NSW Coalition Government’s Multi-Sport
Community Facility Fund.
