Have your say on Griffith Memorial Gardens revamp

Griffith City Council is inviting residents to have their say on plans to revamp Memorial Gardens.

The Memorial Park Gardens Landscape Plan includes new footpaths, new plantings and seating that Council says will enhance the area and create a more enjoyable space for visitors to the park.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting held this week, Councillors noted the Memorial Park
Gardens Embellishment Committee Meeting minutes from the 6 September 2023, which
recommended that the Committee move forward with the more cost-effective option.

Chair of the Memorial Gardens Embellishment Committee, Councillor Laurie Testoni (pictured) is urging residents to view the plans and make comment.

“Committee members have done their best to ensure that the plan enhances the space while considering the $200,000 budget allocated for this project,” Councillor Testoni said.

“Please take a look at the plan and let us know what you think.”

The Memorial Park Gardens Landscape Plan can be viewed at: griffith.nsw.gov.au/on-exhibition, with comments or submissions received up to 4pm, Friday 10 November 2023.
