UPDATE:
A man reported missing from the state’s Far North Coast has been located safe and well.
The 57-year-old man was last seen at his care home on Cudgen Road, Cudgen, about 10pm on Saturday.
“Following extensive inquiries, the man returned to the care home just after 4.30pm today and will be checked over by NSW Ambulance as a precaution,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Police would like to thank the community and media for their assistance.”

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state’s Far North Coast.
Mark Mercer, aged 57, was last seen at his care home on Cudgen Road, Cudgen, about 10pm yesterday.
Police and family are concerned for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition that requires frequent treatment.
Mark is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of a large build, with a fair complexion, grey hair, beard and green eyes.
He uses a wheelchair and walking frame for mobility, however these were left behind, NSW Police said.
