Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an 88-year-old woman missing on the state’s North Coast area.
NSW Police say Margaret Gribble was last seen leaving a home on Camden Street, Ballina about 4pm yesterday.
“A community member reported her missing to officers from Richmond Police District who commenced inquiries into her whereabouts,” Police said in a statement.
“Police have been told she has not made contact with friends or family members since yesterday, which is out of character for her.”
Margaret is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 167cm tall, of a thin build, with short grey hair and brown eyes.
“It is believed Margaret walks with the aid of a walking frame,” Police said.
Anyone who sees Margaret or knows of her whereabouts is urged to contact Ballina Police Station on 02 6681 8699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
