Gun pulled in road road incident

A 77-year-old man is facing firearms charges after allegedly pulling a gun on another motorist during a road rage incident at Morphett Vale yesterday.

Police say that at around 12.40pm on Tuesday, an altercation occurred between two drivers on Beach Road, Morphett Vale.

“It will be alleged that during the incident one driver produced a handgun,” South Australia Police said in a statement.

Police say no-one was injured in the incident.

“Police were called and quickly located the driver at his Woodcroft home address.”

“During a search of the premises, police allegedly located and subsequently seized a number of firearms.”

The 77-year-old Woodcroft man was arrested and charged with numerous firearms offences. He was refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates today.
