Victoria Police Homicide Squad detectives have charged the grandson of a Melbourne woman who was killed outside her Darley home on Saturday night.
Hayden Kidd, 20, appeared via videolink in the Melbourne Magistrates Court this afternoon, charged with the murder of his grandmother, 67-year-old Shirley Kidd (pictured).
The 20-year-old is accused of killing his grandmother outside her home in Darley on Saturday night.
Mrs Kidd was found with critical injuries near the carport of her Egan Court home at around 10.30pm on Saturday night and died a short time later.
“On arrival police found a 67-year-old woman with critical injuries, she could not be revived and died at the scene,” Police said in a statement.
Kidd is due to reappear in court in October.
