Police are investigating an unarmed robbery with violence this morning in Gladstone.
Police say that at around 5.30am, a 58-year-old Gladstone Central man was waiting for a taxi on Roseberry Street when he was approached by an unknown man.
“The man threatened the 58-year-old man and demanded his wallet, before assaulting him. He stole the man’s backpack and wallet and fled the scene on foot,” Police said in a statement.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening head injuries.
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area is urged to contact police.
