Family threatened in South Maclean home invasion

Queensland Police are investigating a home invasion in South Maclean last night, with gun-wielding intruders reportedly threatening a mother and her four children inside the house.

Police say initial information indicates that shortly before 9pm on Thursday night, four males gained entry to a property through the back door and threatened occupants with what appeared to be a gun.

The offenders have then stolen a quantity of property before leaving the premises in a small sedan.

“A 51-year-old woman received a non-life threatening injury as a result of the incident,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

“Four children, between the ages of 7 and 17, were not physically injured.”

Investigations are continuing and detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or may have dashcam in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
