A 73-year-old woman has been arrested following a fatal hit-run collision in Sunshine North Thursday evening that claimed the life of a three-year-old boy.
Sunshine North boy, Ethan Nguyen, was critically injured in the alleged hit-run collision on McIntyre Road yesterday and sadly passed away later in hospital, Victoria Police said in a statement.
Police believe Ethan was dragged under the car for 20 to 30 metres.Â
The 73-year-old Heathcote Junction woman handed herself into police this morning.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are currently interviewing the driver.
“A red sedan allegedly involved in the collision has been seized and will be forensically tested,” Police said.
