Kalgoorlie Detectives are investigating a house fire that occurred in Boulder in the early hours of this morning.
Patrolling officers spotted smoke coming from the home at the corner of North Terrace and Lane Streets at around 12.50am.
“Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called. Due to windy conditions blowing fire embers and ash down the street, and the fire threatening neighbouring homes, the area was evacuated,” Police said in a statement.
“The fire was at a vacant home under construction and the home was destroyed.
“At this time the cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and police urge anyone with any information relating to this fire to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au.”
