Police are appealing for information from the community after a 77-year-old man was located with critical injuries on the Central Coast yesterday.
Police have been told NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to Edna Avenue in Kanwal at around 8.30pm after the man was found on the roadway suffering severe injuries to his head and body.
He has since been airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
“Detectives established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police,” NSW Police said.
“An investigation into how the man came to be injured is underway and anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam vision from the surrounding area are urged to come forward.
“Further, police would like to speak with the people who located the man and called for assistance.”
