Bondi2Berry ride for dementia ready to roll

More than 100 cyclists are set to take part in the 155 kilometre Bondi2Berry cycle ride on Saturday to raise awareness and research funding for Dementia Australia.

Seven groups of 20 riders will head off from the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club, riding out of the Eastern Suburbs and travelling through parts of the Royal National Park to Wollongong, Kiama and finishing in Berry.

Dementia is the second leading cause of death of Australians and the leading cause of death among women.

There are an estimated 487,500 Australians living with the condition.

Since 2016, the Bondi2Berry has raised more than $1 million to help with research. This year’s ride will be the eighth year the event has gone ahead.
