The body of a 74-year-old woman reported missing on a rural property 200km north of Dubbo has been found.
The woman was reported missing to officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District on Friday by a neighbour who had not seen her on the Quambone property for about a week.
A command post was established on the property on Sandy Camp Road about 7am on Saturday, with a search conducted by local police including local police, with the assistance of PolAir, RFS helicopter, and members of the local RFS, VRA and SES, NSW Police said in a statement today.
“During today’s search, the body of a woman was located about 12.45pm. While she is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing person,” NSW Police said.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
