A body believed to be that of an 83-year-old woman missing from the state’s Riverina region has been located today.
Police say the woman was last seen at a home in Leeton on Saturday May 28th was reported missing yesterday.
“Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District immediately commenced an investigation into her whereabouts,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Following inquiries, a body was located in Whitton, about 20km from Leeton, at 9.30am today.”
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
