Bird watching in Somerset just got a whole lot easier with the development of a Bird Places of Somerset brochure.
The handy guide was a collaborative project by Birds Queensland and Somerset Regional Council to identify bird species at various parks and habitats around the region.
Somerset Deputy Mayor, Helen Brieschke said the brochure was a must have for bird watchers keen to know what species may be encountered at various locations in the region.
“Council frequently received requests at our visitor information centres for information about bird watching in Somerset so we are proud to have developed this guide and have it available for visitors and locals to enjoy,” Cr Brieschke said.
“It is a fabulous, handy and easy to follow guide that is available for free at our visitor information centres in Esk, Fernvale, Toogoolawah and Kilcoy.”
