Queensland Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic crash in Lyons yesterday, that claimed the life of a 60-year-old Beenleigh man.
Police say that at around 12pm, a grey Nissan Navara was travelling on Ripley Road when it crashed into a blue Yamaha Motorcycle at the intersection with Undullah Road.
“The motorcycle rider, a 60-year-old Beenleigh man, died at the scene,” Police said in a statement.
“The driver of the Nissan failed to remain at the scene and continued heading north on Ripley Road.”
Police are appealing to the driver of the Nissan Navara or anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision of the Nissan in the lead up to or following the crash, is also urged to contact police.
