ATM stolen in servo robbery

NSW Police are appealing for information after an ATM was stolen from a service station in the state’s south this morning.

Police say that at about 4am this morning, officers from Monaro Police District were called to the service station on Maybe Street, Bombala, about 90km south of Cooma, following reports of a break-in.

Police have been told three people, in dark clothing and face coverings, forced entry into the station before stealing an ATM containing cash and driving from the scene in a white Hyundai Ascent sedan about 3.30am the same day.

Officers established a crime scene and are investigating the incident. They’re appealing for anyone who may have seen the car or people to contact police.

The car is described as a white Hyundai Ascent sedan (1999–2005 model), with the front left tyre replaced and the front left guard damaged.

The three people – believed to be male – were wearing dark clothing, masks and gloves.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report crime via NSW Police social media pages.
