The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Hatton Vale in the Lockyer Valley this morning.
Initial police investigations indicate that just after 7.30am, a white 2015 Mazda Bt-50 ute was travelling east along the Warrego Highway approaching the intersection of Summerholm Road when it struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, an 85-year-old Adare man, died at the scene. The driver of the ute, a 26-year-old Bundamba man, was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision is urged to contact police.
