Ballarat Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Burrumbeet this morning.
Police have been told a car and a light truck collided at the intersection of Henderson and Avenue roads just after 10am.
Sadly the driver of the car, a 71-year-old Burrumbeet man, died at the scene.
The driver of the light truck, aged 44-years, received minor injuries.
At this stage the intersection is still closed and will be for some time, while police process the scene.
