Victoria has recorded just two new cases of COVID-19 today, taking its number of active cases to 92.
There was just one case of the virus detected in hotel quarantine.
Victoria’s health department says the two locally-transmitted cases are linked to existing outbreaks in the state.
The promising drop in numbers – are yesterday’s 11 cases – comes as Melburnians look forward to an easing of restrictions from Friday.
