A 61-year-old nurse care worker will appear in court today charged over the alleged assault of patients at a facility in North Ryde.
In April this year, officers from Ryde Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports patients at a hospital accommodation facility had been assaulted by a female carer.
“Following inquiries, a 61-year-old woman was arrested at Ryde Police Station about 8am on Friday 25 June,” NSW Police said in a statement.
She was charged with three counts of common assault (DV).
Police will allege in court that the woman, who is a nurse care worker, assaulted three patients on separate occasions on Sunday 14 March and Friday 23 April this year.
The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court today.
