NSW Deputy Premier, John Barilaro has tested negative to COVID-19.
Mr Barilaro was notified by NSW Health yesterday that he was a close contact of Agriculture Minister, Adam Marshall, who tested positive to the virus on Wednesday.
“I was considered a close contact with Marshall after the budget meeting and the budget dinner,” Mr Barilaro told Channel Nine’s Today show this morning.
Despite the negative test, Mr Barilaro will remain in isolation until at least July 6.
“With this variant, it’s possible you could have a positive test on your second or third attempt,” he explained
“I’ll get retested on the 29th and then retested on July 4.”
