Do you live with chronic pain or know someone who does?

National Pain Week is the annual awareness raising event coordinated by non-profit organisation, Chronic Pain Australia, to draw attention to the plight of people living with
chronic pain and, by doing so, reduce the social and other barriers related to living with
chronic pain.

National Pain Week 2022 (NPW2022) will run from Monday, 25 July to 31 July. NPW2022
aims to ensure that all Australians living with chronic pain receive Triple-A standards of care – Awareness, Accessibility and Affordability.

National Pain Week 2022

Chronic Pain Australia will be running a series of events across the week through their new
website, currently under construction, including 2 Facebook Live events and a series of
webinars.

Please look out for more information to register for all events and an update on their new ‘Pain Portal’ website in the coming weeks leading up to National Pain Week 2022.

New Pain Portal Website

The website’s main purpose is to create a community and meeting place for people who are
living with or supporting those with chronic pain. The purpose of this Forum is to improve
quality of life, share knowledge and tips for pain management, discuss the social, financial,
and other impacts of living with chronic pain, and connect with people who can understand
and relate to our condition.

Chronic Pain Australia’s Forum will launch with the new website and will be a supportive
environment in which people can speak and be heard, meet new friends, share stories and
enjoy themselves.

As well as this, Chronic Pain Australia’s website aims to connect people living with pain to
updated information or services that can support or assist you in managing your pain
experience better, as well as promote opportunities to get involved in pain-related research.

Chronic Pain Australia is the national voice for the 3.6 million Australians living with chronic
pain. Chronic Pain Australia is a non-profit, non-government, registered organisation
founded in 2001. The organisation is driven by a group of committed volunteers advocating
to reduce the social and economic barriers to those who live with chronic pain.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of those Australians who live with chronic pain.

resources, support, and affordable, high-quality healthcare.

pain in a manner that promotes dignity and self-respect, regardless of age, gender, culture,
belief, rural or regional location or socio-economic background.
