Western Sydney truck driver, 56-year-old Craig Henry Rumsby has today been found guilty of the murder of 17-year-old Michelle Bright following the schoolgirl’s disappearance in the NSW Central West town of Gulgong 24 years ago.
Michelle vanished in 1999 after an evening spent attending a friend’s birthday party in the town.
Rumsby was charged after confessing to undercover police in 2020 that he had suffocated the young woman near her home on the night in question.
He later denied any involvement in her death following his arrest.
