V8 Supercar driver, David Reynolds, will be auctioning off his rare, special edition pink race helmet after the Gold Coast 500 this weekend, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Valued at $10,000, the limited-edition Bell HP7 Evo3 pink Breast Cancer helmet, painted by Perth Based Artist Rod Gilchrist, features a double carbon fibre shell along with the latest Bell technology. It includes all modern integrations essential to a Supercars drivers on-track performance, including a drink hose as well as a mouth and top feed air intake system designed to keep the whole head cool.
“The sad truth is that almost everyone knows someone who’s been affected by breast cancer, which is what makes me – and the entire team at Penrite Racing – proud to help raise awareness for the incredible work done by the National Breast Cancer Foundation,” said the Penrite Supercar driver.
To mark breast cancer awareness month in October, David, along with his entire Penrite Racing pit crew, will proudly swap their Penrite Racing helmet colours to pink during the Gold Coast 500, in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and its vision of zero deaths from breast cancer.
Also on offer is the option for anyone to donate $100 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and receive a signed photograph of Reynolds from this year’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast round.

“These are some very rare pieces of motorsport memorabilia and are already attracting a lot of attention from Supercars fans, you don’t get an opportunity to own pieces of memorabilia such as these very often,” he said.
The David Reynolds GC 500 helmet will be up for auction at the conclusion of the race this Sunday the 29th October from 5pm AEST.
