Three new COVID-19 cases

There have been three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Australia today, all reported from one of the state’s quarantine medi-hotels.

Today’s cases include a child, a man in his 20s, and a man in his 30s, all of whom acquired their infections overseas and have been in medi-hotels since their arrival in Australia, SA Health said in a statement this afternoon.

“A man in his 40s remains in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition,” the health authority said.

More than 5,600 COVID-19 tests were conducted in South Australia today, while close to 450,000 South Australians have so far been vaccinated against coronavirus.
